ONLINE PRIVACY STATEMENT
BNSBC Media Ventures LLC (DBA Atlantic Academy)
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ONLINE PRIVACY STATEMENT CAREFULLY.
This website, related portals, and services (collectively, the "Site") are brought to you by BNSBC Media Ventures LLC, operating under the DBA Atlantic Academy (the "Company," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Statement outlines how we handle data collected through our Site. Your use of this Site constitutes acceptance by you of this Privacy Statement.
1. STUDENT DATA PRIVACY & FERPA COMPLIANCE (Our "100% Unplugged" Guarantee) Atlantic Academy operates exclusively as a physical, "100% unplugged" curriculum provider. We do not require student logins, we do not provide student-facing digital applications, we do not track student progress online, and we do not collect any student data. Because our educational materials are utilized entirely offline in the physical classroom, our platform inherently complies with all Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) data privacy regulations. Under no circumstances do we collect, process, or store the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of minors or K-12 students.
2. INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM EDUCATORS & ADMINISTRATORS While we do not collect student data, we do request and store certain types of personally identifying information from authorized adult users (e.g., Teachers, Curriculum Coordinators, Principals, and Financial Sponsors) when they interact with our Site or purchase our curriculum. We consider the following to be personally identifying information: your first and last name, professional email address, school of employment, and credit card or banking information. We do not collect this information unless it is voluntarily provided by you during the procurement process or when accessing our secure Teacher Portal to download curriculum PDFs and lesson plans.
3. FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS & CREDIT CARD USE When an administrator conducts a purchase transaction through this Site (such as authorizing a discretionary P-Card purchase), you are providing transaction information to our third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or similar financial institutions) who use the information solely for processing your requested transaction. We encrypt all transmission of sensitive data and do not natively store your full credit card numbers on our local servers.
4. WIX HOSTING & GEOGRAPHIC METRICS (Anonymized Data) Our Site is hosted on the Wix platform. When you visit our Site, Wix and its associated analytics tools (along with third-party services like Google Analytics) may collect or record anonymous visitor data. This includes tracking the IP (Internet Protocol) location of visitors.
-
Important Distinction: This IP tracking is strictly used to gather general geographic metrics (e.g., identifying which states or municipalities are visiting our pages) so we can optimize our sales territories. This geographic IP data is not tied to your Personally Identifiable Information (PII). We do not consider anonymized, aggregated geographic data to be PII.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & SITE USAGE Your interactions with our Teacher Portal are monitored to ensure compliance with our Terms of Use. Because our business relies entirely on the protection of our proprietary PDF lesson plans and curriculum architecture, we reserve the right to track download frequencies and login locations for adult educator accounts to prevent unauthorized mass-distribution, piracy, or the sharing of login credentials across un-licensed school districts.
6. SHARING OF INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES We will not sell, rent, or share your personally identifying information with any third-party marketing firms. We only share information in the following circumstances: (i) in response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process; (ii) when disclosure is required to maintain the security and integrity of this Site; (iii) with third-party vendors (such as Wix or payment processors) strictly performing work for us under contract to facilitate the operations of this Site; or (iv) to enforce our Terms of Use regarding copyright infringement.
7. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES With the use of cookies and other technologies, we may receive, record, and store certain types of information about you whenever you interact with this Site. Cookies are small text files transferred to your hardware to speed your navigation, recognize your access privileges to the Teacher Portal, and track anonymized usage. Disabling cookies may prevent the proper functioning of the Teacher Portal, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.
8. PRIVACY RIGHTS UNDER APPLICABLE LAW Applicable laws in your jurisdiction (such as the CCPA in California) may permit you to request details about what personal information is stored by us, or request that we delete your personal information. If you would like to make such a request, please contact our administrative team directly.
9. CONTACT INFORMATION If you have any questions or requests relating to the privacy of your personal information, please contact us at: BNSBC Media Ventures LLC (DBA Atlantic Academy) 319 Lincoln St. Apt 408 Hingham, MA 02043
